Anyone who has been following the business of editorial cartooning for the last year or two knows that the industry is facing some serious challenges. Today's Daily Cartoonist has an excellent article about the topic.

Ironically, today's (3/31/09) Edison also deals with the current crisis in newspapers and the plight of the editorial cartoonist. I hope it is clear that the cartoon is a commentary on the state of the industry and not meant to be a poke at the cartoonists themselves.
