Ironically, today's (3/31/09) Edison also deals with the current crisis in newspapers and the plight of the editorial cartoonist. I hope it is clear that the cartoon is a commentary on the state of the industry and not meant to be a poke at the cartoonists themselves.
UPDATE: The article about the AAEC convention has become a lively (as usual) debate on the marketability of editorial cartoons on the web, for anyone interested.
